2020 Ghana Election: PPP Will Abolish BECE When We Come Into Power – Brigitte Dzogbenuku




Presidential Candidate of Progressive People’s Party (PPP) Brigitte Dzogbenuku says her government will abolish Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) when voted into power on December 7 in the the 2020 general elections.

“The PPP will abolish the BECE when given power” she said.

The flagbearer of the PP as said this on Asaase Radio in an interview on Monday 14 September, 2020.

In her statements, Madam Brigitte the call to abolish BECE is that, lot of Ghanaians have turned school dropouts because they couldn’t pass their BECE test. And most of these dropouts becomes stranded and hopeless on the streets. For this reason, the PPP will try to give opportunity to every Ghanaian child to at least finish Senior High School and they think abolishing BECE is one of the factors they will consider when voted into power in the elections.


“”There are so many children who drop out because they did not pass their BECE when they could have just carried on and followed through to the” She said.

She added “”Let’s imagine a Ghana where everybody has at least an SHS education, it will change our discourse.”
